4/27/2008 Just a list of plans to enjoy myself at Cedar Key. I am bringing fishing gear, a cast net and even a live bait well in case I get a chance to do some serious flats fishing at Cedar Key. If the wind dies and sailing is out, I can fish the flats. I have a map with the fishing hot spots. I am eager to try my improving skills.

I also would like to revisit the Wacassassa river. This wild river is a short visit into the primative beaty of Florida’s mostly untouched riverine ecosystems. Finding the entrance was quite difficult with its low markers blending with the various stakes and other markings scattered across the bay. To make the trip more challanging, the entrance is flanked by rows of razor sharp oyster bars just waiting for a meal of gelcoat. I have the route uploaded on my Etrex so making the entrance safely should not be a problem.

So, one more night of work and I’m off. I’m really excited out my week at Cedar Key. I hope everyone has a great time.

4/28/2008 Well, I’m here. It’s 10pm and I have settled into my condo at Cedar Key. I am rather tired so will be off to bed. It’s great to be here!
