Celebration begins




	Friday 5/1/2009 Today is the day when most participants arrive. After a leisurely sail to Snake key we come upon this spontaneous gather on the beaches of Atsena Otie key just across the channel from Cedar Key. Familiar faces great us and we share the feeling of exhilaration as we anticipate another great weekend and Cedar Key Small Boat Meet and Messabout. Here is a small pictorial account of some of the fascinating and downright gorgeous boats at our meet and the interesting owners as well.

	Dead wood on the beach, bleach by the sun strikes a vivid contrast and add shape to the smooth undulating sand of this seclude beach.

	Ron Hoddinott playing and singing for us. Bernard and Genese Spenle watch appreciatively. He sings a wide range of blues, sea shanties, blue grass and his own compositions. A real talent!
